Issues relating to day-to-day special education operations can
be a significant challenge when the delivery model of the charter
school is nontraditional and the charter is faced with determining
how best to deliver special education and stay true to the intent
of its educational model. This report articulates the issues
for charter schools and special education. The report
discusses in the context of delivering education through the
Montessori Method, but can be used for other nontraditional charter
schools.
