Join charter school colleagues on a Professional Development Tour to China. From June 23-July 2, 2011 a delegation of educators and administrators from across the state will represent the Wisconsin Charter Schools Association in China. This 10-day Professional Development Tour has a focus on school visits, where you will gain an insight into the Chinese educational system. Immerse yourself into the Chinese culture while feasting on a Peking duck dinner, taking part in a Tai Chi exercise session, and taking a calligraphy lesson. During the tour, you will also visit many of China’s most famous landmarks such as, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Great Wall of China, Terra Cotta Warriors, Jin Mao Building, and more!
The WCSA is working in conjunction with EF Education First Professional Development Tours to provide this opportunity. EF Education First has worked with students and teachers for more than 40 years to provide life-changing, experiential learning opportunities. As the first and only fully accredited international travel organization, EF Education First Professional Development Tours strive to prepare teachers for 21st century education. Educators who complete the tour learning experiences and course work may earn six professional development credits, equivalent of 100 clock hours.
