What we stand for: the areas of WCSA's focus
QUALITY.
We will provide support and resources to schools to ensure all our state's charter school students receive nothing less than the highest quality education possible. We plan to introduce member-only resources in coming months.
ADVOCACY.
We are leading the charge to work with legislators and others to advocate for public charter schools every day, and ensure our schools have the ability to work in the way they can do the most for students - with autonomy, accountability, and innovation.
EDUCATION.
We will host leadership institutes and seminars - more information forthcoming on these types of events and opportunities. Advocacy Day 2013 is coming May 9, 2013 - click here for more information on this event.
A UNIFIED VOICE.
We will become a stronger voice and unifier as we lead the charter school movement that is taking place across the state; our aim to also demonstrate, with quality initiatives, to the region and the nation that Wisconsin is working to improve education and make a positive difference for many thousands of students.
THE WCSA MISSON:
To improve student achievement in Wisconsin by supporting excellence in public charter schools through:
• The creation and ongoing support of autonomous, accountable, and innovative public charter schools; and,
• Advocacy on behalf of public charter schools.
THE WCSA VISION:
To ensure that every public charter school attains unprecedented levels of student success.
The WCSA mission, vision, focus areas, and work group committees are available here.
WCSA's Board of Directors includes individuals representing charter public schools and their interests from across the state of Wisconsin.
